PM85865: BBOO0325W TIMEOUT MESSAGE DISPLAYS IP ADDRESS BUT NOT HOSTNAME MAKING IT HARDER TO DETERMINE THE TARGET OF FAILED CONNECTION

Error description

While investigating the cause of BBOO0325W timeout messages it
may be more useful to have the hostname of the target system,
instead of just the IP address.  Until now, only the IP address
is given in the message.

In the WebSphere Application Server for z/OS controller region,
when the outbound IIOP request times out, the BBOO0325W message
displays IP address instead of hostname.

'com.xyz.test.ejb.EJSRemoteStatelessTestApplicationEJB_f48a5470'
and Method Name 'process', to 'hostname=1.2.3.4 port=3818'
, has timed out'.

Problem conclusion

Code was updated so that for outbound IIOP timeout message,
remote hostname is displayed.

APAR PM85865 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs
7.0.0.31, 8.0.0.7, and 8.5.5.1  of WebSphere Application
Server for z/OS.
