PM86278: FILE MONITOR RETURNS DUPLICATE ENTRIES FOR DELETED DIRECTORIES

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If we delete a top-level directory which is being monitored
  (that is, we said we wanted to monitor "a/dir" and then delete
  a/dir), we get a notification which lists {"a/dir", "a/dir"}
  as deleted.

  This problem was identified by code inspection. Although it
  could
  cause internal server errors, none have been observed to date.
  The fix is a prerequisite to the publication of the FileMonitor
  SPI.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been corrected.
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix pack 8.5.5. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page
