Error description
1. Server script does not give an indication that it is about to begin a potentially long-running operation 2. Server script gives bad error messages when java is misconfigured. 3. Using the server script with any action other than "run" or "start" creates the defaultServer even though it should not. 4. Microsoft Windows server names are not case-sensitive, but the kernel should use the canonical name when printing messages.

Problem conclusion
The server launcher has been updated to issue a message before starting, stopping, packaging, or dumping a server. The server script has been updated to allow error output from the java executable to be printed to the console. Errors reported by the server launcher are now reported to individual log files in the output directory. The server launcher has been updated to issue a CWWKE0031E error when attempting to stop, status, package, or dump without specifying a server and the defaultServer does not exist. The server launcher has been updated to detect when server name is specified on Microsoft Windows operating systems that does not match the case of the directory name. The operation is allowed, but server uses the letter case of the directory name internally. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.1.
