Error description
Disabling the auto start option of a running application results in immediate 404s for that application from proxy or on-demand router (ODR) due to invalid ond-demand configuration (ODC) handling. Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V8.5 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Disabling the auto start option of a * * running application results in * * immediate 404s for that application * * from proxy/ODR due to invalid ODC * * handling. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** ODC was not reflecting correct Tree contents when the Auto start option of an application was modified in the administrative console. This led to skipping of application reads resulting in 404 errors.
Problem conclusion
To prevent 404 errors from occurring ODC changes were made to read application contents correctly in the event of an Auto start modification. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.1.
