Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V8.0 and V8.5 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: FFDC with exception * * com.ibm.db2.jcc.am.SqlSyntaxErrorExcept * * io * * n thrown during server startup on z/OS * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** FFDC with exception com.ibm.db2.jcc.am.SqlSyntaxErrorException SourceId:com.ibm.ws.scheduler.TaskStoreImplDB2.fixMissingConstra int thrown during server startup on z/OS. Altering the table for fixing the missing contraint is only applicable for DB2 on distributed and DB2 iSeries, hence exception is thrown when it is executed with DB2 on z/OS
Problem conclusion
A conditional check has been added to check the database version and ALTER TABLE command is not executed when the database used is DB2 on z/OS APAR PM87549 is currently targeted for inclusion in Fix Packs 8.0.0.8 and 8.5.5.1 of WebSphere Application Server.
