Error description

  • isclite cannot be updated using adminApp.update when the
    install root contains Japanese or other double byte
    characters.  This occurs when stack products update the
    administrative console.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Updating the administrative console     *
    *                      when installing Business Process        *
    *                      Management can fail when the            *
    *                      install path contains NLS characters.   *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    Calls to xml routines fail when pathnames are not URIs if the
    pathname contains NLS characters.  This causes the update of
    the administrative console to fail.
    

Problem conclusion

  • We now pass URIs to the XML apis so they don't throw
    exceptions during update of the the isclite.ear application.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix pack 8.5.5.1.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates
