Error description

  • Improvement to stack trace information to provide better
diagnostic information to IBM service teams due to excessive
and sometimes incorrect code paths appearing in stack trace.

*                      many frames of Liberty Profile          *

* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

When an exception is thrown by the Liberty Profile runtime or
user code and is printed to the console log, either by Liberty
logging or an e.printStackTrace() call in user code, the
printed trace can include many frames representing Liberty
Profile internals.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • The stack printing in console logs (but not message.log or
trace.log files) has been improved to improve readability by
removing Liberty Profile internal frames.


The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
pack 8.5.5. Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
