PM88446: WORKLIGHT SERVER RUNS MANY QUERIES AGAINST DB EVEN WHEN THERE ARE NO USERS CONNECTED

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Each worklight server performs about 1000 queries per minute
  even when there are no users connected. All of those queries are
  from back end tasks, mostly the deployment cluster sync process.
  The deployment cluster sync process performs multiple queries
  depending upon the number of gadget applications and adapters.
  

Local fix

• Set cluster.data.synchronization.taskFrequencyInSeconds in
  worklight.properties to be larger than 2 (default).

Problem conclusion

• Code optimization was performed to decrease the number of
  queries in the deployment cluster sync process.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fixpack 5.0.6.1.
