Error description

  • In the Application Center console, merging the access control
    list (ACL) of an application with one from another application

Local fix

  • Use groups to specify the ACL for the applications.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
    * The issue can be reproduced as follows: *
    * (1) From the application list, click "unrestricted" lick of *
    * an application (app A) to set the access rights *
    * (2) Click on the check box to enable access rights *
    * (3) One use is already there but you can enter more *
    * [optional]                                                   *
    * (4) Go back to application list and check that the access is *
    * now "restricted"                                             *
    * (5) In the application list, note the package of an *
    * application with no access restriction; let's call it app B *
    * (6) Go back to access list of app A. *
    * (7) Click on the "Add users from application...) *
    * (8) Select app B                                             *
    * The access right list is unchanged (expected behavior) *
    * (9) Go back to application list *
    * App A access is now "unrestricted" => bug *
    * (10)Go back to access list of App A *
    * The check box is unchecked. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been changed so that access rights are no longer
    disabled after a merge.
