APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Starting the Tomcat server into which the Worklight Server
  installer has installed its web applications fails, and the log
  file in the TOMCAT_DIR/logs directory contains an error of the
  type
  
  SEVERE:
  com.worklight.server.bundle.project.messages:logger.projectStart
  Failed
  java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: Resource path [...] does not
  denote a directory
  
  or
  
  SEVERE:
  com.worklight.server.bundle.project.messages:logger.projectStart
  Failed
  org.springframework.beans.factory.BeanDefinitionStoreException:
  IOException parsing XML document from file [...]; nested
  exception is java.io.FileNotFoundException: jar:file:... (No
  such file or directory)
  

Local fix

• Choose a Tomcat installation directory that does not contain a
  '*' or ';' character.

Problem conclusion
