Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: Load Balancer for ipv4 users on Linux * * RedHat Enterprise Server v5 * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Kernel support is needed for kernel * * level 2.6.18-348.4.1 * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Kernel support for 2.6.18-348.4.1 is needed. If running this kernel level, the executor will not start until this fix is provided.
Problem conclusion
Kernel support added for 2.6.18-348.4.1. NOTE-The Load Balancer for ipv4 is kernel intrusive and Load Balancer must provide a kernel module for each specific kernel released by RedHat. This can be avoided by using the IBM Load Balancer for ipv4 and ipv6 which is not affected by kernel updates. Fix levels : 8.0.0.7 8.5.5.1
