*                      trigger a deadlock                      *

Application start and stop requests made through the
application manager's MBean interface were synchronized in
such a way that it was possible to trigger a deadlock
situation, hanging the operations.

Problem conclusion

The synchronization window was corrected to avoid the deadlock
situation.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.0.0.8 and 8.5.5.2.  Please refer to the
