"Access to internal server classes" is set to "Allow"
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server V7.0, 8.0, and 8.5 for z/OS * * utilizing the diagnostic "Restrict access * * to internal server classes" setting * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The * * com.ibm.ws390.interrupt.InterruptibleTh * * readInfrastructureFactory class is * * inaccessible from higher-level class * * loader * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When "Access to internal server classes" is set to "Restrict", WebSphere Application Server utilizes a Protection Class Loader that prevents classes designated as internal from being loaded by application-level loaders. The InterruptibleThreadInfrastructureFactory was in a package designated as internal, but it was required in an application context for certain naming operations.
Problem conclusion
The necessary class was added to the "exception" list for the protection class loader.
