Error description

  • When trying to edit the application specific policy set binding
    of a pre-configured JAX-WS web service client or provider in
    the Integrated Solutions Console a blank screen and a
    NullPointer in logs is received.
    
    Exception created : [java.lang.NullPointerException
     at
    com.ibm.ws.console.appmanagement.AppCommandUtils.getOneResource(
    AppCommandUtils.java:377)
    
    To recreate :
    - Log-on to the Integrated Solutions Console
    - Click Services --> Service Providers (or Service Clients) -->
    <service_provider_endpoint> --> <policy_set_binding>
    --> Blank screen (see attached screenshot) and
    NullPointerException

    The required form was not in session if the user had not
    navigated from the application panels.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Fixed the code so that a exception would not be thrown if the
    application panel was not currently available to the console.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 8.0.0.7 and 8.5.5.1.  Please refer to the
