Error description
During IBM WebSphere Application Server installation to Asianux Linux, Operating System prerequisites check failed even though the OS "Asianux Linux" is supported. An error message similar to the following might be issued: ---------- Your operating system failed the prerequisites check. Local fix
Disable OS prerequisites check with disableOSPrereqChecking=true during WAS installation.

Problem conclusion
The not supported operating system error is generated when installing or updating offerings on an Asianux machine. The operating system checking is updated to support the Asianux machine. In the mean time, the problem can be worked around by disabling the operating system checking. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix packs 8.0.0.8 and 8.5.5.1.
