Error description

• If an invalid value is specified for a boolean attribute in a
  Liberty Profile WebSphere Application Server server.xml
  document and there is no default value for that boolean
  attribute, a NullPointerException will be thrown when the
  configuration is parsed. The correct behavior is for an error
  about the invalid configuration to be reported.

  If an invalid value is specified for a boolean attribute in a

  about the invalid configuration to be reported.
  

Problem conclusion

• A null check has been added to the configuration evaluator to
  stop the null pointer being thrown and to allow the correct
  error processing to take place.
