Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of IBM WebSphere Application * * Server on Microsoft Windows creating a * * profile on IBM Websphere Portal * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Profile creation fails on IBM portal * * if Portal is installed on IBM * * Websphere Application Server V8.5.5.0. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** Creation on Portal fails, but running creation on Websphere Applicatoin Server by itself is succesful. In launchWsAdminListener.bat, the invokation of the java class is passed in the %nonjavaoption% variable from the script. However, it checks for the existence of only 3 unique values for this argument. Values of a similiar %nonjavaoption% variable from earlier on is carried into launchWsAdminListener.bat and is appended to the three values provided for %nonjavaoption% in launchWsAdminListener.bat. The check from the class results in failure.
Problem conclusion
The %nonjavaoption% is 'cleaned' in launchWsAdminListener.bat before it is provided the three needed values. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.1.
