Error description

  • During the WASPostUpgrade migration call, the code prompts for
    security information and will hang until it is either provided
    or times out and proceeds without making the retieve signers
    call.

    *                      not passed in on the command line, so   *
    *                      when invoking retrieve signers it       *
    *                      prompts for this information and        *
    *                      hangs if security is enabled.           *

    When retrieve signers is invoked without username and password
    information it will prompt the user if it is required.  If
    this happens the migration will pause either until this
    information is input or a timeout occurs. The WASPostUpgrade
    process only used username and password information when
    invoking retrieve signers when they are provided on the command
    line.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Since this information is already known at this point in the
    migration, the extracted username and password can be used in
    the case that they are not provided on the command line.
    
    The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
    fix packs 8.0.0.8 and 8.5.5.1.  Please refer to the
