APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• OpenJPA maintains a FinderCache, which maps the target
  Entity type to the SQL generated for the find.  Unfortunately,
  the FinderCache does not properly deal with dynamically
  adjusted FetchPlans - it will simply store the first SQL
  generated for the find() for that class and reuse it
  regardless of the active FetchPlan configuration.
  

Local fix

  To improve performance, OpenJPA caches the SQL generated the
  first time em.find() is invoked for a given entity.  If a
  modified fetch plan is active when the first em.find() is
  invoked, then the non-default SQL is permanently associated
  with the find operation for that Entity type.
  

Problem conclusion

• The finder cache will only be utilized when the fetch plan is
  in its default state.
  
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
  fix packs 8.0.0.8 and 8.5.5.2.  Please refer to the
