Error description

During the deploy of an application an excessive number of
MethodInfoDescriptors are created by the annotation processing.
 -
Abstract: Annotation processing creates many unnecessary
MethodInfoDescriptor objects for deep class hierarchies,
unnecessarily increasing the required heap size.

Local fix

Increase Maximum Heap size on the Deployment Manager

During annotation scan, an excessive number of
MethodInfoDescriptor objects may be created. This can result
in higher heap usage, and in some cases an OutOfMemoryError.

Problem conclusion

MethodInfoDescriptors are now created only when necessary,
reducing memory usage.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.0.0.8, and 8.5.5.2.  Please refer to the
