Error description
The "help" behavior of the command-line tools should be a bit more consistent. 1) The command-line tools will now recognize --help (and indeed any token which consists of punctuation followed by the word help, such as /help) as equivalent to the "help" directive. 2) The tools will also respond more consistently to the distinction between invocation with no parameters (explain how to get help), invocation with some form of "help" (provide full help), and invocation with some form of "help" followed by another directive name (provide help about that directive).

Problem conclusion
After applying this fix, 1) The command-line tools will now recognize "--help" (and indeed any token which consists of punctuation followed by the word help, such as "/help") as equivalent to the "help" directive. 2) The tools will also respond more consistently to the distinction between invocation with no parameters (explain how to get help), invocation with some form of "help" (provide full help), and invocation with some form of "help" followed by another directive name (provide help about that directive). The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix pack 8.5.5.1. Temporary fix
Use "help" rather than "--help" when requesting self-documentation from the command-line tools.
