PM95457: CNTR0020E, AbstractMethodError exception is thrown by getJDBCMajorVersion() method

Error description

From the exception it is clear that getJDBCMajorVersion()
is not
implemented by the JDBC driver of IBM Universe/Unidata 11.1.0.

" The JDBC Driver for UniData and UniVerse is an implementation
of the JDBC  1.0 specification with limited functionality
supported for the JDBC 2.0 specification."
JDBC 2.0 Specification doesn't have getJDBCMajorVersion() API.

The error that was shown in the PMR text was:

After updating to 7.0.0.29, Application throws:

AbstractMethodError exception is thrown when
getJDBCMajorVersion() API is invoked by the JDBC driver which
is not JDBC Specification 3.0 complaint.

Problem conclusion

getJDBCMajorVersion() method is invoked to provide JDBC driver
specification level in the FFDC, so the code is modified to
catch throwable exception thrown by the method and debug
statement with the exception is added

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 7.0.0.31, 8.0.0.8 and 8.5.5.1.  Please refer to the
