    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
When Intelligent Management is configured to communicate with a
VMWare vCenter server, it creates information in memory for
every physical and virtual machine that is managed by the
    server
regardless of whether it hosts a WebSphere Application Server
node. If the vCenter has a large number of machines with no
WebSphere nodes, this consumes memory unnecessarily and may
    lead
    to an OutOfMemoryError.

Problem conclusion

  • The code is changed to import data only for virtual machines
that have WebSphere nodes in linked cells. The change must be
activated by setting a new custom property. To enable this
custom property, go through the administrative console under
System Administration > Cell > Custom Properties
and define a new custom property with the name
    vmware.service.unique_id.importMachinesWithWASNodesOnly
where unique_id is the unique identifier that represents the
vCenter. Set the value of the property to true. Save the
    workspace and sync all nodes.
