Error description

Rendering from h:outputLink using Ajax in
ResourceServingPortlet will generate a ClassCastException.

In normal rendering phase without Ajax everything works fine.
In the Ajax rendering phase, if there is an  h:outputLink  on
the page, a ClassCastException occurs as a result of calling
serveResource
- RenderRequest is not compatible with ResourceRequest
The link is otherwise functional.

Rendering h:outputLink using Ajax in ResourceServingPortlet
will generate a ClassCastException. This is applicable for
Ajax use cases only. In the Ajax rendering phase, if there
is an  h:outputLink on the page, a ClassCastException occurs
as a result of calling serveResource - RenderRequest is not
compatible with ResourceRequest.

Problem conclusion

The JSF 2.0 portlet bridge is fixed to take care of the code
anomaly.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.0.0.8 and 8.5.5.2.  Please refer to the
