Error description

The following JavaScript error can occur "this._onException is
not a function " when calling jsf.getViewState() with a direct
reference to a form element.

An example of calling the JSF JavaScript API is:
var theForm = document.getElementById('testForm');
var theViewState = jsf.getViewState(theForm);
The following exception can occur:
this._onException is not a function

Problem conclusion

The JSF MyFaces container JavaScript was updated to avoid the
exception.

The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in
fix packs 8.0.0.9 and 8.5.5.2.  Please refer to the
