Error description
When customer try to download zipped joblogs via JMC, they often get the message 'The job log could not be prepared for download' and the following exception is logged: BBOO0220E: CNTR0020E: EJB threw an unexpected (non-declared) exception during invocation of method "getJobLog" on bean "BeanId (LongRunningScheduler#LongRunningJobSchedulerEJBs.jar#JobSchedul er, null)". Exception data: java.lang.NullPointerException

**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere Compute Grid Version * * 8 and above. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The message, "The job log could * * not be prepared for download", is * * displayed when downloading joblogs * * via the Job Management Console. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** If the download request was submitted from a scheduler that did not own the job, the job logs were not able to be retrieved from the owning scheduler resulting in a NullPointerException.
Problem conclusion
The code has been updated so that job logs can now be retrieved from the owning scheduler. The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fixpack 8.0.0.4 and 8.5.5.2.
