Question
An SQL0030 message is in the job log for QVI400SRV (the iSeries® server listener job for DB2® Content Manager Client).
Cause
This message is reported when an SQL FETCH statement retrieves fewer fields than defined in the database record from which the data is being retrieved. This message is only a warning message and can be ignored.
Answer
If you want to turn off these messages, complete the following steps:
1. Check if QUSRSYS/QAQQINI exists.
2. Issue the following iSeries command and press Enter: WRKOBJ OBJ(QAQQINI) OBJTYPE(*FILE)
3. If the result panel does not show a copy of the file in QUSRSYS (it should always show a copy in QSYS), take option 3 against the QSYS version and press F4.
In the Create Duplicate Object screen (represented below), perform the following actions:
Type choices, press Enter.
From object . . . . > QAQQINI Name, generic*, *ALL
From library . . . . > QSYS Name, *LIBL, *CURLIB
Object type . . . . > *FILE *ALL, *ALRTBL, *AUTL...
To library . . . . . > QUSRSYS Name, *FROMLIB, *SAME...
New object . . . . . . *OBJ Name, *OBJ, *SAME
From ASP device . . . * Name, *, *CURASPGRP, *SYSBAS
To ASP device . . . . *ASPDEV Name, *ASPDEV, *...
Duplicate data . . . . *YES *NO, *YES
4. Change To library to QUSRSYS and Duplicate data to YES and then press Enter.
5. Issue the command STRSQL and press Enter.
6. Type the following SQL command and press Enter:
UPDATE QUSRSYS/QAQQINI SET QQVAL = '*YES' WHERE QQPARM =
'SQL_SUPPRESS_WARNINGS'
7. Press F3 to exit SQL.
Because QSYS/QAQQINI is shipped again with each new version of the operating system, you should consider deleting QUSRSYS/QAQQINI after each operating system upgrade, creating a new copy in QUSRSYS and then applying any changes again to the QUSRSYS version of QAQQINI.
