Error description

  • Endpoint Lookup mediation primitive fails to observe security
    properties.
    .
    The security properties for the Endpoint Lookup mediation
    primitive, that have been specified via admin (either using the
    wsadmin command or through the admin console) are not correctly
    observed by the primitive."

    * USERS AFFECTED: WebSphere Enterprise Service Bus and         *
    *                 WebSphere Process Server v6.0.2.0 customers  *
    *                 who are using Mediation Flow Components      *
    *                 which contain Endpoint Lookup primitives,    *
    *                 and have WebSphere Security enabled.         *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If you are attempting to connect to a   *
    *                      WebSphere Service Registry and          *
    *                      Repository (WSRR), in a secured         *
    *                      configuration (with WebSphere Global    *
    *                      Security enabled), communication will   *
    *                      fail.                                   *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: If you encounter this problem, the           *
    *                 recommended course of action is to install   *
    *                 the iFix associated with this APAR, or the   *
    *                 fix pack which contains this code change.    *
    *                 This fix is currently targetted to be        *
    *                 included in v6.0.2 fix pack 1 (v6.0.2.1).    *

    Please note, if you have upgraded to WebSphere Enterprise
    Service Bus or WebSphere Process Server v6.0.2.0 from
    v6.0.1.x using the refresh pack (as opposed to the
    complete installation media), then you will also need to
    apply APAR IC51811 BEFORE installing this fix.
    It is imperative that IC51811 is installed prior to
    installing the iFix associated with this APAR.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Applying this fix resolves the problem.  However, additional
    configuration is also required, please see the Technote
    "Configuring WebSphere ESB to enable secure connections
    to WSRR using SSL" for further information.  This technote
