Troubleshooting
Problem
When you are testing a Web Service using Web Services Explorer, you might encounter this error: "IWAB0380E Errors were encountered while validating XML schemas" However, the message erroneously points to a wsdl file that has no validation error.
Cause
This is an error emitted by Microsoft® Internet Explorer™ which uses the XSD parser to read XSD type documents. Since the XSD parser has no knowledge of WSDL, the parser does not know how to handle in-line schemas in the WSDL file.
Resolving The Problem
Microsoft Internet Explorer has custom code that works around this error, thus the error is harmless and can be treated as such.
