Problem

Assist on Site allows IBM to establish a remote connection to assist with problem determination and resolution.

Resolving The Problem

IBM Support can offer the option of remote support using Assist on Site (AOS).

Customers wishing to use AOS will need to provide a workstation which can access the system using TCP/IP. AOS provides the following:

  • Multiple levels of access which can be selected by the customer, including:
    • Chat
    • Shared View
    • Shared Control
  • The customer can end the session at any time
  • The customer has the option to log the session locally
  • The customer can allow IBM Support to control the nominated workstation whilst they watch or alternatively follow directions from IBM Support who will observe the customer's actions
