Problem conclusion
A new EASYTRAN/EZPARAMS option was added to request return of File Status 22 instead of File Status 21 on VSAM sequential write for KSDS and RRN VSAM files. Note: When IOCODE=EASYT option in the EZPARAMS is used, COBOL Status code 21 is converted to Easytrieve Plus Status Code 24 and COBOL Status code 22 is converted to Easytrieve Plus code 12. New option DUPKEY=21 or DUPKEY=22 was added as a second parameter to the VSAMOER= EASYTRAN/EZPARAMS option. The default is DUPKEY=21, which will leave IMU as it was before the parameter was added. Example: VSAMOER=(&option,DUPKEY=22) or VSAMOER=(&option,DUPKEY=21) Where &option = ERROR or IGNORE. Users who wish to take advantage of this new options should update VSAMOER= option in the EZPARAMS table to VSAMOER=(IGNORE,DUPKEY=22). If you are a new user of IMU, DUPKEY=22 should be used to avoid conversion problems. If you are an existing IMU user and DUPKEY=22 is coded, make sure that your programs are not specifically looking for Easytrieve Plus Status code 24 on duplicate key condition because DUPKEY=22 will result in Easytrieve Plus Status code of 12. We recommend that existing users use the default (i.e., leave the EZPARAMS unchanged).
