Error description

  • Per PMR 58671,180,000

    ================================================================
    Prereq: APAR PM78953

    Date reported: 01-31-2013

    Severity: 1

    Users Affected:
All IMU users of MU V3.2

    Problem Description:
Customer is getting COBOL Compiler error IGYPS2008 (missing
     period) before Axxxxx-AUTO-GENERATE-READ paragraph on
     INITIALIZE statement.

    Problem Summation
The error is caused by a JOB statement that does not contain
any Activity statements but RESET=EASYT and at least one field
is defined with the RESET option.
The work-around is to insert a GOTO JOB or a STOP statement,
depending on the JOB intention, at end of the JOB activity
     statements.

Example: The following would cause "IGYPS2008 missing period"
    error.

     FIELDA W 1 A RESET
     JOB INPUT NULL

     JOB INPUT FILEIN

    To get around it code:

     FIELDA W 1 A RESET
     JOB INPUT NULL
     STOP

     JOB INPUT FILEIN

    Problem Conclusion:
The EASYT007 macro was changed to generate a period after the
     INITIALIZE statement

    Changed byte code macros:

    FSOFT01.V3R2M0.SFSYFJCC
     EASYT007 - Existing macro
