    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    ISZ0071E LU I029545 CLSDST error, RC=4, SC=16
    With Telnet parameters SHAREACB and LUSESSIONPEND when an
    Instance is cancelled the Telnet terminal session does not end
    but is immediately passed to the Standby Instance. The terminal
    LOGON may be driven before XCF messages have arrived at the
    Standby Instance to notify it of the demise of the Instance.
    The terminal user is still deemed to be active at the Instance,
    and the terminal is therefore passed to the (failed) system
    which gives the CLSDST PASS error seen in the above message.
    After receipt of the CLSDST error, the Signon task incorrectly
    sends the SIGNON panel to the terminal.

Problem conclusion

  • When a terminal is found to be active (in the User CF table),
    wait a short time before retrying the attempt to add to the User
    CF table. This enables processing of XCF notification messages
    regarding Instance failure.
