CURESC=YES does not work on a single byte input field.

When CURESC=YES is set the escape processing must cater for the
whole field (in this case just one character) being updated and
the cursor moving past the following attribute character and
onto the next field.  The program logic does not cater properly
for multiple attribute characters following the input field or
there being only one input field present on the screen.

Problem conclusion

  • The program logic has been enhanced to cater for multiple
attribute characters following the input field and for only one
input field present on the screen.
