Error description

• ABEND522 OR OTHER TIMEOUT ABEND IN DSNYASCP CAN BE CAUSED BY
  USING MULTI-STEP STARTUP PROCS (THE DEFAULTS ARE NAMED DSNMSTR
  DSNDBM1 AND DSNDIST) FOR DB2.  THE ABEND RESULTS FROM THE DB2
  STARTED TASKS LOSING THE SYSTEM TASK PRIVILEDGE PROVIDED BY
  ENTRIES IN THE MVS PROGRAM PROPERTIES TABLE (PPT IEFSDPPT).
  THIS LIMITATION IS NOTED IN MVS PUBLICATIONS UNDER THE IEFSDPPT
  TOPIC (VARIOUS PUBLICATION NAMES DEPENDING ON THE VERSION OF
  MVS).
  NOTE:  DB2 should be 'exempt' from time-out abend522's if the
  PPT is setup correctly.  DSNYASCP should be defined with the
  SYSTEM Task Privilege, and should not be timed.

  A USER REPORTED THAT IT MAY BE POSSIBLE TO BYPASS THE LIMITATION
  AND HAVE MULTIPLE STEPS IN A DB2 PROC IF A 'TIME=1440' PARM IS
  ADDED TO THE PROC JCL.
  This problem has also been reported for single step DB2
  startup PROCs when migrating to DB2 v4. A bypass for the
  ABEND522 in DSNYASCP would be to code the TIME=1440 parm
  on the EXEC statement.
