  This informational APAR is to provide general information and
  recommended maintenance for users of z/OS Enterprise
  Extender ( EE ).

  Three IBM Redbooks are available which cover EE. One title
  is "SNA and TCP/IP Integration" (SG24-5291-00). Chapter2
  covers EE. A second title is "Migrating Subarea Networks to
  an IP Infrastucture Using Enterprise Extender" (SG24-5957-00).
  The most recent is "Enterprise Extender Implementation Guide"
  (SG24-7359-00).

  necessary if a Virtual IP Address (VIPA) is being configured
  for Enterprise Extender on one of the LPARs. Please refer to
  info APAR II11926 for OSA-2 configuration tips.

  If problems persist after all recommended maintenance has
  been applied, then VTAM and TCP traces may be required.
  The actual documentation required may vary based on the type
  of problem. In general the following traces are required:
  VTAM trace: VIT OPT=(CIO,CIA,HPR,PIU,CSM,SSCP,TCP,PSS,SMS,MSG)
    TCP trace : ctrace VTAM,VTAMDATA and Packet Trace ABBREV=100
        See APAR II12014 Section 2 for info on TCP PACKET Trace.
        Packet trace is used for connection failures.
        NOTE: Using the VTAMDATA option will slow performance
              considerably - use with caution.
  If tracing to dataspace, include the VTAM and/or TCP dataspaces
  to the dump command (ISTITDS1 (VTAM) and TCPIPDS1 (TCP)).
