Problem conclusion


    

  • During the opening of a disk (after the paths are opened) a
fail over was attempted which was not successfull. This marks
the lun with an 0xFE indicating "FO failed". If during the
opening 2900, 2a01, 0401 or 8B02 is received the pcm will set
the seq_err_cnt to 0. In the err path of the pcm it returns
from processing the sense data and it checks to see if the
seq_err_cnt should be bypassed. If it is not it will increment
this value. The next time the pcm is called with select_path
it will check for 0xFE and non-zero seq_err_cnt. If this is
true then it fails the path selection. The fix is to set
BYPASS_COUNT in the sense processing function.
