Error description

  • If customer chooses the first mirror copy to split
mirrored SVG into an independent SVG, the split SVG may
not sync when mirrored and return the following error:

# syncvg -v testvg
0516-934 /usr/sbin/syncvg: Unable to synchronize logical
volume fstestlv.
0516-932 /usr/sbin/syncvg: Unable to synchronize volume
group testvg.

Problem summary


    

  • splitvg -i does not mark PPs stale when using scaleable vg.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • During splitvg processing, the primary PPSA information is
copied to the new vg, but the secondary PPSA information isn't.
