Error description
User starts a checkin libv process with search=bulk, but an error occurs during the process. Volumes which were scanned and awaiting to be moved to storage slots, but were not due to the error, can return ANR8833E on subsequent checkin attempts. - Possible errors during checkin libv from the bulk slots are ANR8310E, ANR8314E, and ANR8382W. TSM Versions affected: All which can use SCSI libraries. Local fix
Restart the TSM server to prevent further ANR8833E messages. - Ensure that the library is not already full, or will become full when volumes in the bulk slot are checked in. - Physically locate each volume which returned ANR8833E before restarting TSM, but does not exist in QUERY LIBV. Volumes still in the bulk slot can be checked in using checkin libv with search=bulk. Volumes which were moved to internal slots can be checked in with checkin libv with search=yes. - Apply fixing maintenance.
