Error description
On Unix, SQL8000N is generated by db2start if the AUTHENCATION is set to DATA ENCRYPTION, KERBORSE or GSSPLUGIN. This is caused by the Advanced Security Option (ASO) lincense not being activated. This is not required in DB2 Version 8. In order to activate this license, you need the db2secur.lic file. This license has been disabled in DB2 Version 9.The license will be disabled in DB2 Version 8 Fixpak 15.
Local fix
Ask DB2 support to provide a copy of the db2secur.lic file.
