Error description

  • problem:   Unexpected sort overflows on queries with duplicate
eliminating sorts.

For certain sort operations, DB2 fails to acquire sufficient
sortheap memory which can lead to unexpected sort overflows.
Affected sorts can be identified from examining the SORT
operators in a db2exfmt explain plan.
The affected SORT operators have an UNIQUE property of TRUE, and
do not have AGGMODE nor TRUNCSRT properties.
