• Closed as program error.

Error description

• A stored procedure that contains a query that performs a hash
  join generates a warning message to the db2diag.log.  The
  message is Probe:10 from sqlsReservePrivateSpace Invalid
  private sort memory request . The size requested is 0x80000000
  which is larger than the sort heap.
  

Local fix

Problem summary

  Problem description: Invalid sort memory request from a query
  with a hash join.
  
  Problem summary: number of sort pages required overflows, which
  caused a very large and invalid request for memory.
  

Problem conclusion

• First fixed in DB2 UDB Version 8 FixPak 7
