Error description

  • When customer inserts timestamp data via II database into an
    Oracle nickname, the time data is displayed correctly from an
    II command line or window interface. If he does the select
    local to Oracle
    or via sqlplus client, the time portion is not displayed but
    other characters (garbage) are displayed instead.
    

Local fix

Problem summary

  •  This problem is fixed in DB2 II 8.2.
    

Problem conclusion

  •  Apply DB2 II v8.2. to resolve this problem.
