Error description
Oracle 8.0.6 does not support CAST() function. When issuing a federated query through an Oracle 8.x.y server, DB2 assumes alll 8.x.y versions support CAST(). This leads to an error in Oracle (ORA-907).
Local fix
Specify server mapping to Oracle 7.3.4 using ALTER SERVER command.
Problem summary
