Error description

  • When DB2 UDB is running on a domain controller in a Windows
    domain under the context of a domain user, it fail to enumerate
    local group information for users connecting from a different
    domain that is trusted by the primary domain.
    
    The error message you will encounter is as follows:
    SQL30082N Attempt to establish connection failed with security
    reason "24" ("USERNAME AND/OR PASSWORD INVALID").

    domain environment.
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    If this APAR is not applied, you will encounter SQL30082N errors
    when you attempt to connect to the server in certain domain
    configurations.
    
    PROBLEM SUMMARY: Refer to the Error Description for a
    description of the problematic configuration.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Problem was first fixed in Version 8.1 FixPak 11 (s060120).
