DB2 UDB Version 8.1 FixPak 16 (also known as Version 8.2 FixPak 9 )

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• You will receive an SQL1469N error when you issue the CREATE
  SERVER command on a federated server.  In particular, the
  problem occurs when you have a multi-partition environment and
  the wrapper is created with the option db2_fenced='Y'.
  

Local fix

• Set wrapper option db2_fenced='N'.
  

Problem summary

• USERS AFFECTED: Users running federated systems with multiple
  database partitions.
  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  If this APAR is not applied and you have specified the wrapper
  option db2_fenced (with a value of 'Y', such that the wrapper
  runs in fenced mode), attempts to create a federated server will
  fail with the error: SQL1469N SQL1469N Instance
  "<instance-name>" (nodenum "<node-num1>") does not have node
  "<node-num2>" specified in its db2nodes.cfg file.

• Problem was first fixed in Version 8.1 FixPak 11 (s060120).
