APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • By default, OUTER JOIN is not pushed down for the DRDA wrapper
when the server type is DB2/zOS.  This can cause poor
performance.

This APAR will change the default behavior so that OUTER JOIN is
pushed down and processed at the server.

With this fix enabled, please ensure DB2 for z/OS APAR PK09359
is applied.

Local fix

  • Set the server option DB2_OUTER_JOINS to 'Y'
i.e. alter server <server> options (add db2_outer_joins 'Y')

Problem summary
