APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The CLP command "catalog odbc all data sources" completes
  successfully but it may result in a small memory overwrite and
  unpredictably affect subsequent CLP commands within the same
  session.
  After issuing the command "catalog odbc all data sources"
  subsequent commands within the same CLP session may fail
  unpredictably.
  When the local database catalog directory contains an entry in
  which the database alias is 8 characters long, running the CLP
  command "catalog odbc all data sources" may result in a small
  memory overwrite. This will cause unpredictable behaviour in
  subsequent CLP commands issued from the same session. Either
  issue the command in a DB2 Command Prompt Window as "db2
  catalog odbc all data sources" or when issuing "catalog odbc
  all data sources" within a CLP session, immediately exit CLP
  once the command has completed.
  

Local fix

• Only run the command as "db2 catalog odbc all data sources"
  from a DB2 Command Prompt Window. If the "catalog odbc all data
  sources" must be run inside a CLP session, then be sure to exit
  CLP (to clean up the process) and start up a new DB2CLP session
  before issuing the next command.
