PK34436: Creation of UCM integration view does not obey site-wide default setting for shareable DO on Windows

APAR status

• Closed as Permanent restriction.

Error description

• After running the cleartool setsite command to change the
  site-wide default settings for shareable derived objects
  (cleartool setsite view_shareable_dos=FALSE) attempts to create
  a UCM dynamic view associated with an integration stream on
  Windows fails to use the new default settings.
  Notes:
  1.  Dynamic views associated with development streams as
      well as base ClearCase dynamic views accept the new
      defaults as expected.
  2.  Does not affect UNIX or Linux machines
  

Local fix

Problem summary

Problem conclusion

• Due to the age and limitations of the current ClearCase GUI
  applications, we are in the process of replacing them with
  newer
  versions. In order to most effectively allocate our
  resources,
  we are limiting the work we do on the legacy GUIs. Since
  this
  problem has a reasonable workaround - manually unchecking
  the
  option in the GUI - we do not plan to expend resources to
  fix
  it in the current GUI.
