Error description
You are running the application debugging profile manager, transaction CADP, in a MRO environment. The program abends with: DFHAC2206 Transaction failed with abend AZI6 On the AOR side, you see: DFHDP0001 An abend (code ---/AZI2) has occurred at offset X'2100' in module DFHDPFM. . In the trace you see DFHFCFR running under the L8 TCB for the START_BROWSE for FILE_NAME(DFHDPFMP). File control is not threadsafe but has been called under the open TCB. Since the file is remote, we try to function ship and end up abending due to the communications layer not being able to run properly under the open TCB environment. Unpredicable results may also occur if the CADP files are defined locally. Additional Symptoms and Keywords: ABENDAZI2 ABENDAZI6 MSGDFHAC2206 MSGDFHAC2216 DFHAC2216

Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CADP may abend AZI2. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** In the reported problem an application was running on an open TCB and linked to another program that was threadsafe and had an active profile under CADP. This linked to program inherited the same open TCB of the program that linked to it. CADP attempted a 'PATTERN_MATCH' for the linked to program and this used file control. File control is not threadsafe and in this case, an abend AZI2 occurred. Keyword: OPENAPI
Problem conclusion
DFHDPPM has been modified and will now always switch to the QR TCB on entry.
